Death Penalty

Ted Bundy is a person that deserved and received his just reward. The excerpt from Polly Nelson’s book “Defending the Devil” (Bookmark, Aug. 21) wanted us to show compassion to earthworms and Bundy. Well, Ms. Nelson, I think we did both. One, by executing Bundy we showed compassion for the victims and their families. Two, putting him in the ground keeps your lowly earthworms company.

Capital punishment is not barbaric if it was your daughter or son that was murdered. I want that avenue of justice always open in capital crimes. The endless appeals process should also be on death row.
