Big Men on Chart
Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” has to be the year’s fastest- rising single, debuting at No. 1 on The Times’ Southern California pop chart and rocketing to No. 2 on the national pop chart in just two weeks--a rare achievement. The R&B; vocal group is bound to recover some of the sizzle it lost when its Christmas album, which ultimately logged decent sales, started slowly on the pop charts last fall. The instant success of this single should silence any chatter about a Boyz II Men decline.
