Television: Cable Channel Is Lauded

West Hollywood’s cable television channel has been recognized for its community service by a cable programmer’s association.
City Channel 10 received four awards from the Alliance for Community Media, an organization of local cable television programmers from the United States and Canada. The annual competition draws over 1,800 entries.
West Hollywood’s cable channel won awards for overall excellence in municipal access, best news series for its biweekly news show, as well as best talk show and best gay and lesbian program for “Get Used To It,” a monthly public affairs program on gay and lesbian issues.
