Costa Mesa-Based US Facilities Names President

David L. Cargile has been appointed president and chief operating officer of US Facilities Corp. in Costa Mesa. Cargile had been senior vice president of the company since 1991.
The previous president, George Kadonada, remains as the company’s chief executive and chairman of its board. The chief operating officer’s role is newly created, said a company spokeswoman.
US Facilities markets, underwrites and reinsures medical policies. On July 29, the company won a legal battle against unfriendly suitor Fidelity National Financial Inc. when a Delaware Court overturned the election of two directors nominated by Fidelity.
A company spokeswoman said Cargile’s promotion was not related to the takeover attempt.
