Movie Sales Squeeze

Regarding the summer films being “squeezed” at the box office (“A Squeeze Play Tags the Summer Box Office,” Aug. 2):
Although history probably proves me wrong, I propose that one key to the monetary gross of a film is the quality of the film. But I wouldn’t want to frighten the studios with that suggestion. Perhaps mediocre drivel gets the audience it deserves. At least we might see fewer sequels.
