Delta Pilots to Forgo 2% Pay Hike: The pilots union said it hopes the carrier will use the proceeds to add three flights and rehire 36 pilots. The Air Line Pilots Assn., which represents 9,000 Delta Air Lines pilots, told the cash-strapped carrier it will meet a pay freeze request. The raise would have cost Delta $26 million a year. The Atlanta-based airline said the action was “promising” and that it will consider the union’s proposal.
