YORBA LINDA — Police say they have identified and issued a warrant for a suspect in the July 18 fatal shooting of an Alpha Beta night manager.
Brea police refused to identify the man until today, but said he also might have been involved in an attempted homicide and an armed bank robbery in October in the same shopping center, in the 17400 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard.
The market manager, Timothy Eugene McVeigh, 34, of Santa Ana, was shot in the chest during the robbery and later died at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
Witnesses told police the suspect was wearing a black, shoulder-length wig, similar to that worn by the bank robber. He was described as about 45, white, medium build, wearing glasses, blue jeans and a purple sweat shirt.
