Rexhall Industries Inc., a Santa Clarita maker of recreational vehicles, reported sharp profit increases for its second quarter and its first half.
The company earned $532,000 in the quarter ended June 30, a 71% gain from $311,000 in net income a year earlier. Its sales grew 57%, to $11.6 million from $7.39 million.
For the six months, Rexhall had a profit of $1.05 million, more than double the $448,000 in net income in the first half of 1993. Its six-month sales totaled $21.9 million, up 66% from $13.2 million in sales a year before.
Rexhall attributed the results to its expanded dealer network and growing sales of restyled motor homes it introduced last year.
