Ex-Sega Exec Joins Mattel: The El Segundo-based toy maker named Douglas Glen, a former senior executive at Sega of America, senior vice president of business development and strategic planning. Mattel, the biggest U.S. toy maker, expects Glen to identify areas where technology can be used in new products and in improved versions of older products. He also will examine ways for Mattel to expand its business by targeting a broader variety of consumers and product categories. Mattel makes Barbie dolls, Fisher-Price, Disney, Hot Wheels and other lines of toys.
