DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES : March Planned to Counter Anti-Immigrant Sentiment
- Share via
Thousands of protesters are expected to file down Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles today in what organizers are calling a “march for justice and dignity.”
The march, leaders say, is designed to counter a growing anti-immigrant sentiment in the United States, particularly in California.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Broadway and Washington Boulevard and proceed to City Hall. Some streets adjoining Broadway will be blocked temporarily to make room for demonstrators, police said.
