SCHOOL: Palmdale
SPORT: Baseball
YEAR: Senior
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Glick is one of the best pitchers in the area, with an 11-2 record and 1.36 earned-run average. The hard-throwing left hander is a top professional prospect and has 129 strikeouts and 19 walks in 72 innings.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Glick pitched a three-hitter and struck out 17 in Palmdale’s 5-1 first-round victory over El Segundo in the Southern Section Division III playoffs. “He was the best we’ve seen this year,” El Segundo Coach John Stevenson said. “I’m not so sure if we played him again that he wouldn’t do the same thing.” Glick loaded the bases in the first inning by hitting two batters and walking another. Then he struck out the next three hitters. “Our hitters were impressed,” Stevenson said. “And I was impressed, watching them walk into the dugout after striking out.” It was Glick’s 10th complete game of the season.
