The parent company of TL Enterprises, a Camarillo firm that produces publications for recreational-vehicle owners and outdoor enthusiasts, has acquired an Illinois publisher in the same field.
TL’s parent, Affinity Group Inc., purchased Woodall Publishing Co. of Lake Forest, near Chicago, for an undisclosed amount.
Woodall publishes more than 25 directories and magazines, including a nationwide campground directory and a guide for buyers of recreational vehicles. The company has 50 employees and 50 independent representatives.
TL publishes Trailer Life, MotorHome and a variety of other magazines and directories. The company also operates several membership organizations, including the Good Sam Club for RV owners.
Mike Schneider, Affinity’s executive vice president, said all of Woodall’s publications will remain in business. He said Affinity and TL have about 250 employees, half of them in Camarillo and the rest at a plant in Denver.
