Fortune Petroleum Corp., an Agoura Hills energy concern, has appointed Charles A. Champion as its chairman.
Champion, who was recently elected to Fortune’s board of directors, has held positions at Richfield Oil Corp., a predecessor to Atlantic Richfield Co., and Mobil Oil Corp. in the 1950s and 1960s.
He was a state-appointed coordinator of the Trans Alaska Pipeline in the 1970s, and taught petroleum engineering at the University of Alaska. Since 1983, he has been president and chief executive of Tower Petroleum Corp.
* Richard A. Peters was named vice president of marketing of Rexon Inc. Previously, Peters was vice president of marketing of Tandberg Data. He also was head of OEM marketing at Archive Corp. and worked in management positions at CalComp.
Rexon Inc. is Manhattan Beach-based data and information management company with offices and a manufacturing plant in Simi Valley.
* Cherokee Apparel in Sunland has named Kathy Ferguson as vice president of product development and administration, a new position.
Ferguson was senior vice president of merchandising and marketing at Gloria Vanderbilt. She has also worked at Levi Strauss and Lee Apparel.
