Steffe Grounds Himself, Moves On to Quincy

NEWHALL — Matt Steffe, a former Hart High forward and member of the 1992 Times’ All-Valley basketball team, has transferred from the Air Force Academy prep school to Quincy University in Illinois.
Steffe (6-feet-7, 202 pounds) averaged 15.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season.
He joins a team that was 19-9 last season and earned a bid to the NCAA Division II tournament.
