PACOIMA : Woman, Girl Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver

A woman and a young girl were struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday in the intersection of Montague Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Pacoima, authorities said.
The unidentified victims were described as a Latina in her 30s and a girl about 12, said Frank Zdroy of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Investigators believe the car was a red Mustang. Red paint chips and pieces of a broken headlight were found at the scene, Zdroy said, and there was evidence that the car’s left front section and a headlight were damaged in the collision.
Police were searching for the motorist late Wednesday night, Zdroy said.
