Corona del Mar Wins in Badminton Playoffs

NEWPORT BEACH — Corona del Mar beat Diamond Bar, 15-4, in a Southern Section Division I badminton playoff match Tuesday at Corona del Mar.
Allysun Turner, Jerome Poyyak, Jeff Roche, Kerri Smith and Trina Howard each swept for Corona del Mar, which plays Marina Thursday in the quarterfinals. Marina beat Fullerton, 12-7, also Tuesday.
