Lynn Redgrave Files for Bankruptcy Protection: The actress, whose credits include the television show “House Calls” and the 1960s film “Georgy Girl,” filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Redgrave’s financial problems stem from costly legal battles that started with her dispute with MCA’s television unit over her 1981 dismissal, as well as disputes with her former lawyers in the now-defunct Finley, Kumble law firm. Redgrave’s bankruptcy lawyer, David Neale with Levene & Eisenberg, estimated that Redgrave will list about $250,000 in liabilities on her petition, the bulk of which she disputes. Her assets largely consist of her Los Angeles-area home.
