BASEBALL : Four O.C. Teams Begin Playoffs

Four Orange County baseball teams begin play today in Southern Section wild-card playoff games.
In Division II, Savanna will be at Cerritos, the third-place team from the San Gabriel Valley League. In Division III, Century will be at Irvine and Garden Grove will be at La Mirada Glenn, the third-place team from the Suburban League.
First-round games begin Friday.
Fountain Valley was the No. 1-seeded team in Division I. A top-seeded team has not won that division since Lakewood in 1970.
La Quinta, which lost in the Division III title game last season, is the second-seeded team in the division this year. Defending division Tustin is seeded fourth.
St. Margaret’s is the second-seeded team in Division VI.
