KINGSBURG--Kingsburg celebrates its Scandinavian heritage at the 29th annual Swedish Festival, May 19-22. A pea soup and pancake supper is on Thursday, and a smorgasbord dinner is on Friday, both at 6 p.m. in the downtown park. A festival with arts and crafts, food and Swedish entertainment is 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Park. The Swedish Festival Parade is 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Draper Street. OJAI--Classical music under the sun and stars awaits at the Ojai Festival, June 3-5. Music director Michael Tilson Thomas brings the New World Symphony Orchestra to Libbey Bowl for music by Mahler, Bach, Copland, Stravinsky, Varese and others.
