A new weekly newspaper began publication this week to take the place of a 66-year-old community newspaper that ceased publication recently.
The Beverly Hills News, which printed its first copies Sunday, will focus on community news, features and business coverage, said Tom Link, managing partner of the venture.
Link, president of Contract Publishing Inc. and former publisher of the Los Angeles Business Journal, declined to name the four owners of the new paper, but said all were city residents. He said several other investors may be included.
Former Post employees and columnists were offered jobs with the new paper.
