Dick Clark Productions Reports 3rd-Quarter Profit

Dick Clark Productions Inc., a Burbank producer of television shows, said its fiscal third-quarter profit surged to $4.04 million from a profit of $1.14 million a year ago.

The earnings for the three months that ended March 31 was the biggest quarterly profit in the company’s history, and was due to improved revenues for TV shows it delivered and increased production activity. Revenue for the quarter increased 47% to $19.5 million from $13.3 million a year ago.

Through its three fiscal quarters that ended March 31, the company posted a profit of $4.64 million, double the earnings of a year ago. Revenue for the nine months jumped 64% from $28 million to $45.9 million.
