James F. Hurley has been named executive vice president for investor relations and corporate communications at California Federal Bank.
Hurley, who previously served as senior vice president of the Los Angeles bank and its former parent company, CalFed Inc., is responsible for communicating the bank’s strategies, policies and financial performance to the investment community, the financial media and the public.
N. Christian Anderson, associate publisher and former editor of the Orange County Register, will become publisher of the Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph, a daily newspaper owned by Irvine-based Freedom Newspapers Inc., the Register’s parent company. The Colorado Springs newspaper has a daily circulation of 101,000.
Santa Anita Realty Enterprises Inc. said it has named Brian Fleming chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Before coming to Arcadia-based Santa Anita, Fleming was with Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. He was an audit manager with Price Waterhouse before that.
Santa Anita Cos., through Santa Anita Realty and Santa Anita Operating Co., operates the Santa Anita racetrack and holds interests in two major regional shopping centers, strip malls and office buildings.
Dennis Robinson has been appointed president and chief executive of Citadel Financial Group.
Before joining the Los Angeles-based lender, which specializes in purchasing loan portfolios, Robinson was a senior vice president at Foothill Group.
