Sentencing for Thomas Postponed

Sentencing has been delayed for former Dorsey High School Coach and player Derrel Thomas, who pleaded no contest to conspiring to purchase 22 pounds of cocaine. His sentencing was moved from Tuesday to June 30.
Thomas, 43 who also starred for the Los Angeles Dodgers, testified against former Sheriff’s Department Deputy Rickey Ross, whose case was declared a mistrial March 11.
Thomas pleaded no contest to one count of conspiracy to purchase narcotics for the purpose of resale.
