A 35-year-old Thousand Oaks woman arrested on suspicion of sexually molesting a 17-year-old youth was released on bail Thursday from Ventura County Jail, authorities said.
Gloria Goldman, an unemployed schoolteacher, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of performing sex acts on the boy beginning when he was 15, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said.
The boy, a former neighbor of Goldman, reported the allegations to the Sheriff’s Department, and detectives found witnesses to support his charges, according to sheriff’s reports. Detectives then issued a search warrant and arrested Goldman on Wednesday morning at her home on Fox Ridge Drive.
Goldman posted $10,000 bail, deputies said. She was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on multiple counts of child molestation, unlawful oral copulation and sodomy with a minor, deputies said.
