SANTA ANA : Funeral to Be Today for Bludgeon Victim

Family members and friends will gather at a funeral today to mourn a 71-year-old Santa Ana woman who was bludgeoned to death in her high-security apartment complex.
Patricia Hamilton Powell was found battered in her bedroom at the Wycliffe Plaza senior citizen complex last week.
Police have arrested Michael Dean Owens, 30, of Santa Ana, on suspicion of murder in the case.
The funeral will be at noon at Brown Colonial Mortuary, 204 W. 17th St. Powell will be buried at Riverside Veterans Cemetery at 2:15 p.m., according to a granddaughter, Tiffany Trujillo.
