THE REGION : Water Reclamation Project to Begin

The Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District will join forces with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to develop a water reclamation project for the San Gabriel Valley.
The project, which will reclaim water from the San Jose Creek Plant to be used to recharge the ground water basin and for irrigation, will be funded by a $500,000 matching grant from the federal government.
The grant will provide funds for pre-construction activities, including final design, engineering report, project management, public education and administrative costs.
