DIAMOND BAR : Councilman’s Vote on Development Was OK, Probe Finds

The Fair Political Practices Commission has found no wrongdoing by Diamond Bar City Councilman Gary G. Miller in relation to charges that he had a financial interest in a proposed 170-acre commercial and residential development.
A commission investigation found that there was insufficient evidence to support a complaint filed by the Diamond Bar Citizens to Protect Country Living alleging that Miller participated in a vote affecting the proposed development while having a financial interest in it.
The commission said Miller did not violate conflict-of-interest laws when he voted on the general plan because by that time he had sold the property.
