Mexico’s Unemployment at 3.8% in January: The nation’s jobless rate was up 0.4 percentage point from the year-ago period, according to a report from the government-owned Instituto Nacional de Estadistica Geografia e Informatica, or Inegi. Inegi said 55% of the country’s population age 12 or older was economically active in January. It also said 32% of Mexico’s working population received a daily income of one to two times the country’s minimum wage of $4.30.
