REDONDO BEACH : City Seeks Public Input on Exotic Dance Troupe

A public hearing is scheduled for tonight on whether to allow an exotic male dance troupe to perform at the Strand nightclub in Redondo Beach.
Manpower Australia, a group of dancers who slowly strip to skimpy swim trunks, is scheduled to begin a 10-day stint at the club Tuesday.
Council members said Tuesday they would not decide whether to change the club’s entertainment permit to allow such an act without hearing from residents near the nightclub at 1700 S. Pacific Coast Highway. The hearing is 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
