“David and Goliath in Caucasus” (April 21) presented a poignant view of the 6-year-old conflict which has ravaged Nagorno-Karabakh and its Armenian population. Although the conviction and belief of Armenian freedom fighters in their just cause are indisputable, given the demographic imbalance of a handful of Armenians fighting millions of Azeris, the situation on the battleground will eventually reverse itself in favor of Azerbaijan. It is imperative that the international community undertake a lasting settlement in the region to avoid another Bosnian quagmire.
