Next week will be the final chance for the curious to see the intricately detailed model of the White House that has drawn more than 75,000 visitors to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
The nearly exact replica of the three-story landmark measures 60 by 20 feet and stands 4 feet high.
“This was a tremendously successful exhibit,” said library spokeswoman Stefanie Salata. “But we don’t plan to have it return in the immediate future.”
After a brief stop in Anaheim, the model will be taken overseas for an extended show called “American Treasures” in Tokyo.
May 1 will be the last day for visitors to see the model at the Reagan library. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 522-8444.
