Carlson and teammate Tina Edwards have combined to give Orange Coast the only thing the team has lacked the last three seasons--divers. Carlson, from Dassel, Minn., put on an impressive show last week. First, she won the one-meter and three-meter competitions as Orange Coast beat Saddleback, 187-101, in an Orange Empire Conference meet. The next day she took part in the Saddleback Diving Pentathlon, winning the overall title with a score of 391.00. She won the three-meter competition and was second in the one-meter.
Other notables:
* Jenny Lopez, Cypress, pitched two shutouts, including a 2-0 victory over Rancho Santiago on a one-hitter. She also beat Golden West, 2-0.
