A 24-year-old man who was stabbed in the neck during an argument behind a fast-food restaurant is expected to survive his wound, but his three attackers remained at large Wednesday, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at Del Taco, 22401 El Toro Road, said Sheriff’s Lt. Dan Martini.
The victim, Harold Rama Corzano of Lake Forest, was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he is in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Witnesses said Corzano was arguing with three men when one of them stabbed him on the right side of his neck, severing an artery, Martini said.
After the stabbing, the attackers jumped over a block wall fence and fled. They may have left the scene in a white Honda, a large black truck, or both, Martini said.
