Elvis Presley loved peanut butter--he spread it on bread, added some bananas and then fried the whole thing in butter. Jack Nicholson eats peanut butter in bed to keep up his strength. Tom Selleck is also a peanut-butter fanatic; so is William F. Buckley Jr.
If you’re nuts about peanut butter too, there’s none better than that made at this pint-sized Peanut Shop that’s been doing business the same careful way for 24 years.
Easy to spread and with a taste of fresh-roasted peanuts, there’s no secret ingredient here. It is just super-fresh meaty peanuts and perhaps a little salt.
The peanut butter costs $13.95 for three 18-ounce jars ($1 extra for orders west of the Mississippi) and is available in three varieties: smooth-lightly salted, smooth salt-free, and chunky-lightly salted. It’s peanut butter for particular people.
