For the sixth year in a row, a Simi Valley realtors group is hosting a poster contest for area youth to promote fair housing in the city.
The contest, run by the Simi Valley/Moorpark Assn. of Realtors, is designed to promote the city’s efforts to provide equal housing opportunity regardless of race, religion, sex, age or disability.
This year’s theme is “Fair Housing: Making a Better World Together.” Entries, which are due to the association by April 29, should be submitted on 22-inch by 28-inch poster board and must display the Equal Housing Opportunity Symbol, a house with an equal-sign.
The contest is open to students from fourth to 12th grade.
Nine cash prizes of up to $200 will be awarded to the winning entries, along with certificates of commendation.
For more information, call the association of realtors at 527-2302.
