Artists and arts administrators are invited to join others lobbying state legislators for arts funding and support on Arts Day, to be held April 20 this year at the Capitol in Sacramento. Participants in the effort, organized by the California Confederation of the Arts, may attend arts advocacy workshops and meetings scheduled with Gov. Pete Wilson and other legislators, and visit legislators’ offices to urge continued funding of the California Arts Council. Wilson has recommended a flat 1994-1995 budget of $12.5 million for the council. Cost for Arts Day is $25 until April 8, or $35 thereafter. (916) 447-7811.
