ANAHEIM — Diamond Entertainment Corp., a distributor of videotapes to large retail chains, said Friday that it has agreed to co-market a 26-episode series, “Ted Danson, Challenge of the Seas.”
The series features Danson narrating educational programs with such titles as “Hammerheads of El Bajo,” “The Sea of Whales,” “Seal Country,” “Realm of the White Shark” and “The Whales That Came Back.”
A spokeswoman for Diamond, Kristine Truong, said the series is one of the more high-profile deals the company has made. Potential customers for the series include Montgomery Ward, Walgreen and WalMart, Truong said.
The films are produced by International Film & Video, with which Diamond signed a long-term distribution agreement.
Diamond Entertainment, which employs about 100 people in Anaheim, reported a loss of $1.6 million on sales of $10.6 million for the year ended March 31, 1993.
