In other Division III-AA quarterfinals:
Santa Margarita 92, Pomona 70--Brad Finneran scored 24 points, Brian Finneran had 20 points and eight rebounds and Brian Scoggin had 19 points for visiting Santa Margarita (22-6). Scoggin made all 12 of his free throws. As a team, the Eagles made 36 of 55 free throws.
Sonora 66, Compton Centennial 64--Isaac Taylor missed a 25-foot shot with four seconds left and top-seeded Sonora held on at Compton College. The Raiders (23-5) led by 12 with three minutes left, but Centennial rallied. Chad Fister scored 20 points and Sergio Hernandez 19 for Sonora, which will play Servite in the semifinals Friday.
