Regency Health Services Inc.: The company said Tuesday that Andrew E. Senyei has resigned from its board of directors in advance of the company’s pending merger with Tustin-based Care Enterprises.
Senyei, a physician and general partner in a Newport Beach venture capital fund, had been a director of Hallmark Health Services Inc. when it was acquired by Regency in December, 1991.
Senyei had been on Orange-based Hallmark’s board since 1989 and was named to Regency’s board as part of that acquisition. His board position is being eliminated in a merger with Care Enterprises, a Regency spokesman said. The merger is expected to be completed April 4. Senyei resigned several months early to “pursue other opportunities,” said Cecil Mays, Regency’s chairman and chief executive.
