For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen on what to do in the garden this week:
* For a lush, green lawn this spring and beyond, it’s time to aerate, fertilize, use pre-emergent weed control, mow at 1 1/2-2 inches and water deeply and thoroughly.
* Check out the tuberous begonia bulbs at your garden center. There is a delightful array of different varieties that resemble other flowers such as the daffodil, camellia, rose or carnation when in bloom.
* February is a good time to have a special gardening project and one of them might be to install a tub garden. Any container can be used so long as it’s water tight and holds four gallons of water.
