Marina Shuts Out Servite to Give McLeish His 300th Coaching Victory

ANAHEIM — Marina Coach Dave McLeish recorded his 300th boys’ soccer victory when the Vikings beat Servite, 2-0, in a Sunset League game Wednesday at Servite.
McLeish, who is 300-141-54 in his 20-season high school career, also has coached at Edison and Dana Hills and has been the men’s coach at Southern California College the last seven years. His teams have won nine league titles and made the playoffs 13 times.
Fifth-ranked Marina (15-4-1, 10-2-1), which remained a game behind Santa Ana in the league race, scored two goals in the second half, including Jose Monroy’s eighth of the season.
