Stan Hill, Land Developer, Tennis Enthusiast, Dies

NEWPORT BEACH — Stan Hill, a Newport Beach businessman, died at home Jan. 30 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 70.
Hill, who owned Southern California Sash and Door in Los Angeles, served in World War II as a naval officer. He had been active in land development and was a tennis aficionado.
He is survived by his wife, Ollie, and three children, Lynn Hill of Kansas City, Mo., Jim Hill of Laguna Beach, Kelley Hill Howard of Newport Beach, and three grandchildren.
There will be a “Celebration of His Life” service on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lido Isle Clubhouse in Newport Beach. The family asks that instead of flowers, donations be sent to Lymphoma Research at San Diego Regional Cancer Center, 3099 Science Park Road, Suite 200, San Diego, Calif. 92121.
