GI Wounded in Somalia Marries at Walter Reed

WASHINGTON — An Army officer was married at Walter Reed Army Hospital on Christmas Eve, three months after being injured while trying to rescue the crew of a downed Army helicopter in Somalia.
Sgt. Christopher Reid and Zanona Washington, a Navy hospital corpsman, exchanged vows during a small ceremony at the Washington medical center.
Reid, an infantryman who immigrated from Jamaica, lost a hand and part of a leg during the Sept. 25 grenade attack.
