Guilds, Bank Move on Golan Firm: Hollywood’s three major guilds are seeking at least $1.5 million from 21st Century, a film distributor operated by former Cannon executive Menachem Golan. In addition, the French bank Credit Lyonnais is seeking $15 million it claims it is owed. The guilds this week filed an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition against 21st Century, and an interim trustee was named to run 21st Century at the request of Credit Lyonnais. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
