Embarrassed by Misleading Caption
I was amazed when a co-worker showed me the Nov. 29 article “Citations: New Appeal Process,” with a caption stating “Cady gestured that he’s heard enough and ruled the fine be paid.” In fact, Mr. Cady ruled in our favor that we were not liable for the citation.
The sequence of pictures showing me pleading my case and the second photo showing Mr. Cady holding up his hands along with the incorrect caption is false, misleading and extremely embarrassing to me, my family and co-workers.
It also gives the wrong impression to readers that the system doesn’t work, and in this case it did.
