Two more cities have joined the effort to capture a larger share of the $25-billion African American travel and convention business in the United States.
“The Baltimore African-American Heritage Visitors Guide,” a 16-page brochure, covers attractions, historic sites and festivals and events. Individual free copies can be obtained by calling (800) 282-6632.
In Memphis, the Convention and Visitors Bureau has published “Down Home Views.” The 32-page guide includes events and festivals, attractions and historic sites, entertainment, shopping, restaurants and churches. Copies are available from the Memphis Visitors Information Center, (901) 543-5333.
