Typhoon Toll Rises to 39

HANOI — Relief efforts were under way as the death toll climbed to 39 from Typhoon Lola, officials said Saturday. At least 84 people were missing and 20 others injured after high winds and flooding swept across two southern Vietnamese provinces, they said.
