Camarillo homemaker Nancy F. Koch has been elevated by her colleagues to president of the Oxnard Union High School District’s board of trustees.
The 50-year-old Koch received the unanimous backing of her four fellow board members for the one-year term as board president of the 11,000-student school district.
She succeeds veteran board member Janet Lindgren.
At the same meeting Wednesday, board members chose Jean Daily Underwood to be their new vice president and Fred Judy as clerk.
Elected to the board in 1990, Koch has four children who have graduated from Rio Mesa High School, one of the Oxnard district’s six high schools.
