Coach: Bobby Bruch (third year).
1992-93: 19-4-4, 10-2 in the Sunset League; co-champions of Division I after tying Claremont, 1-1, in the final.
Key returners: Jenny Benson, So., midfielder, first-team all-league; Cassie Campbell, Jr., midfielder; Marcy Crouch, Jr., defender, first-team all-league; Carrie Florigan, Sr., goalie; Gina Giallonardo, Jr, defender; Allison Hambrick, Sr., defender; Kristen Palmer, Jr., midfielder; Amy Rubenstein, Sr., forward; Jennifer Simmons, Sr., goalie; Rhiannon Tanaka, Sr., midfielder, first-team all-league, all-section.
Key newcomers: Anne Giallonardo, Fr., defender; Megan Orach, Fr., forward; Melissa Rodriguez, Jr., midfielder.
Outlook: Marina, disappointed with a tie in the title game last season, returns with a team that could get another chance at winning it all. But Bruch warns that it won’t be easy with everyone shooting for No. 1. “It’s not like baking a cake; it’s a year-long process to fine tune the talent that you have and get everyone to believe in each other and really go for the team goals,” he said.
