In the Southern California women’s volleyball playoffs:
Golden West 3, Antelope Valley 0--Jaimie Torromeo had 13 kills, six aces, nine digs, all match highs, Becki Gehlke added nine kills and Heidi Emmrich had eight to lead Golden West to a 15-3, 15-3, 15-11 victory.
Golden West (23-0) advances to the first round of the State tournament, Friday night at San Diego Horizon High School. Succeeding rounds on Saturday and Sunday will be played at Southwestern College in Chula Vista.
